These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of this website and the tutoring services provided by Vertex Learn. By accessing this website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About Vertex Learn

Vertex Learn is a UK-based tutoring service operating as a sole trader.

We provide academic tuition services, including GCSE, A-Level and university admissions support. Lessons are delivered primarily online and, where agreed, in person.

2. Eligibility

  • Students under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian agree to these Terms on their behalf.

  • By using our services, you confirm that you have the legal authority to enter into this agreement.

3. Services

Vertex Learn offers:

  • One-to-one tutoring

  • Group lessons

  • Online tuition

  • Limited in-person tuition (by agreement)

Tutors are high-achieving students from Imperial College London and other top UK universities.

4. Free Trial Lessons

  • A free trial lesson may be offered at Vertex Learn’s discretion.

  • Free trials are limited to one per student.

  • Vertex Learn reserves the right to withdraw or refuse a free trial where misuse is suspected.

5. Pricing & Payments

  • Lesson prices are communicated in advance and confirmed before lessons begin.

  • Payment is required in advance of each lesson unless otherwise agreed.

  • Vertex Learn reserves the right to change pricing at any time.

  • Any pricing errors may be corrected without liability.

6. Cancellations & Missed Lessons

  • At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.

  • Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.

  • If Vertex Learn cancels a lesson, a reschedule or refund will be offered.

7. Tutor Allocation

  • Tutors are assigned based on subject expertise, availability, and student needs.

  • While all tutors are highly qualified, continuity with a specific tutor cannot be guaranteed.

  • Tutor changes may occur to maintain service quality.

8. Academic Outcomes

  • Vertex Learn provides high-quality academic support. However, we do not guarantee specific grades, exam results, or university offers, as outcomes depend on factors beyond our control.

9. Safeguarding

  • Vertex Learn takes safeguarding seriously.

  • Tutors working with students under 18 are DBS-checked where required.

11. Intellectual Property

  • All lesson materials, resources, content, branding, and logos provided by Vertex Learn remain the intellectual property of Vertex Learn.

  • Materials may not be copied, shared, or redistributed without prior written permission.

12. Behaviour & Conduct

Vertex Learn reserves the right to suspend or terminate services if:

  • Behaviour is inappropriate, abusive, or disruptive

  • These Terms are breached

  • There is misuse of services

13. Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vertex Learn is not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses

  • Missed exams, grades, or academic outcomes

  • Technical issues outside our control

  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

14. Changes to These Terms

  • Vertex Learn reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website or services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
